The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a scientific symposium entitled the importance of modern oil refineries and their role in developing the economy.
The symposium aimed at introducing modern oil refineries and presenting the Karbala refinery experience and its pioneering role in supporting the national economy.
The workshop included scientific lectures by Mr. Muhammad Fazaa from the Ministry of Oil, Director of Karbala Refinery, and Mr. Sattar Jalil Hassan from the Oil Research and Development Center at the Ministry of Oil, during which a detailed presentation was given on the importance of expanding the establishment of modern oil refineries, as they are of great economic feasibility, as well as being of great value. Great importance in the development of oil production and the acquisition of foreign expertise and skills in the field of Iraqi refinery industry.
