On Wednesday 3/5/2023, the President of the University of Technology, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, attended the fourteenth student festival for the General Mechanical Engineering branch, under the slogan “Mechanical Engineering in Community Service”, in the hall of the late Prof. Dr. Munir Al-Muzaffar in the department.

The festival included the recitation of any of the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq.

The festival dealt with six lectures, the first of which was the applications of mechanical engineering in air purification and separation in the medical field, delivered by Dr. Saad Sabah Karam, advisor for air liquefaction techniques at the Ministry of Health, and the second, Mechanical Engineering and Orthodontics, was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ammar Salem Kazem from the University of Baghdad, College of Dentistry. The third lecture was a study of the effect of malfunctioning spark plugs on the vibrations generated in the internal combustion engine, and the fourth was DESIGNING A LOW-COST.
