The Department of Chemical Engineering organizes a celebration on the occasion of Women's Day
The Department of Chemical Engineering, in cooperation with the Women's Empowerment Unit at the University of Technology, organized an expanded celebration to celebrate women, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim.
The celebration included a speech by the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Jamal Manea Al-Rubaie, during which he emphasized the importance and status of women in society.
In addition to giving a lecture entitled (The concept of liberation from a woman's point of view) by Prof. Dr. Bushra Abdel-Hussein from the University of Baghdad.
During the ceremony, many poems were recited that embodied the role and position of women in building society. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of gifts and awarding certificates of appreciation to a number of female employees of the department, in appreciation of their outstanding efforts.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Mona Taha Idris, Head of the Women's Empowerment Unit at the University of Technology.
