The University of Technology planted 1,500 trees in cooperation with Baghdad Municipality

UOT grid on a voluntary work campaign by planting 1,500 trees in the University gardens in cooperation with the Baghdad Municipality, as part of a campaign entitled # Baghdad plant Let us afforestation #  with the participation of volunteer teams under direct supervision by the Assistant President of Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, and a team of students and employees of all scientific and engineering Departments, with a supportive cadre from the Diwan, Follow-up and Media Departments, in target of increasing environmental awareness.

Volunteer work included the implementation of agricultural campaigns to increase green spaces in the university and convert all empty spaces into lush gardens to contribute to reducing the impact of climate change, combating desertification and reducing environmental pollution.

There was a seminar inside the university attended by a number of faculty cadres, volunteer teams, media and municipality departments, to discuss the impact of awareness campaigns and agricultural campaigns in increasing community awareness to preserve green spaces and reduce environmental pollution.
