Production Eng. & Metallurgy Dep. win a championship

Production Eng. & Metallurgy Dep. team win the UOT of football championship for lecturers over Material Eng. Dep. with five goals against two goals in the final match that took place at the university stadium. Under the referee of Waleed Natiq, Ahmed Mahmood, Haider Mohammed, and the supervision of Hussien Sareeh.

Score goals of the production team took turns, Muhannad Qusay and Adel Shabib, each with two goals, and Attia Abdul-Kahdim one goal, while Ali Abdul-Karim scored two goals for the material team.

The team of the Applied Sciences Department, Training &Workshop Center won third place in the match, in which 17 teams representing the scientific and engineering departments participated in the competition, as well as the Training & Workshop Center team, divided into 4 groups. Asaad Khudair of the Biomedical Eng. Dep. won the championship title.

Production Eng. & Metallurgy Dep. team won the title after being ranked the third group & winning over the teams of Architecture Eng. Dep. 3-1, and the Civil Engineering 3-0, and with the same result over the team of Laser & Optoelectronics Eng. Dep. in the quarter-finals, it defeated Computer Eng. Dep. team 7-0 In the semi-finals, its over Applied Sciences team 3-0.

While Materials Eng. Dep. team, has been ranked the first group by defeating the teams of Computer Engineering, Oil Technology, and Computer Science to withdraw with one result, 3-0. The final over the Training & Workshop Center is 3-0.

At the end of the match, individual and team awards were distributed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Azad Rahim, the Head of Control and Systems Engineering Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Wissam Hamid, Director of the Training & Workshop Center, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Najah Salman, Director of Student Activities at the University.
