Technology announces the opening of the student sports season

The Assistant President of the University of Technology for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, inaugurated the sports season at the university for the new academic year 2022-2023 at the university stadium, which is held by the Student Activities Department, in the presence of the Head of the Activities Department, Prof. Dr. Najah Salman, and the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, Eng. Zaid Al-Anbari. And a number of faculty members and university students.

The sports festival started with a review of the University of Technology guides and also for the teams participating in the university championships for the current season, and the sports section was chanted, after which the university football championship for students started with the participation of 16 teams who were divided into 4 groups. The second group consisted of the electrical, chemical, mechanical, and architecture engineering departments. The third group consisted of the control, systems, oil, biomedicine, laser, and optoelectronics engineering departments. The fourth group included the civil engineering, production, metallurgy, communications, and applied sciences departments.

The football tournament started with the opening match, which ended with a tie for the Electromechanical Engineering and Computer Science teams with one goal each in the first group. The second match saw the Computer Engineering team achieve a big victory over the Materials Engineering team with three goals without a response.
