A scientific visit of Biomedical Engineering Department to Ibn Al-Haitham Hospital

Within the Biomedical Engineering Department scientific activities’, and the direct steering of the head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Wisam K. Hamdan. It is organized a scientific visit for the senior student / Medical Instruments Devices Branch / morning & evening study to Ibn Al-Haitham Hospital for ophthalmology.

 This visit was within the framework of cooperation between Biomedical Engineering Department & the hospital presidency; and within efforts of:

• Scientific Deputy Lec. Dr. Hussein Jamil Mutasher.
• The Director of Lab Division Lec. Dr. Ali Jalal.
• Saja Basheer.
• Lec. Ali Mahmood Issa.

Who are accompanied the students during their visit.

In turn, the head of the Department praised the manager of the Hospital for the great interest by the students’ & the visit facilities.

After the hospital staff receiving the students, the visit focused on providing a detailed explanation about the available medical devices, and how to use & maintain them. The hospital is one of the largest ophthalmology centers and includes multiple departments, includes: emergency consulting clinics, in addition to specialized clinics such as the retina clinic and fluid cutting.
