Control and Systems Engineering Department at the UOT hold a cultural competition entitled (Noon)

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghabban, and under the framework of cooperation between the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education, Control and Systems Engineering Department along with the team (Al-Iraqiya here) and Al-Mutamaizat secondary School / Al-Rusafa First, organized a feminist cultural competition titled (Noon) in the presence of the President of the University and the Deputy Minister of Education for Administrative Affairs, Dr. (Falah Al-Qaisi) and the head of the department, Dr. (Azad Rahim), in addition to the management of Al-Mutamaizat secondary school in Rusafa.

The competing teams were formed by female students and lecturers from Control and Systems Engineering Department and Al-Mutamaizat secondary School / Al-Rusafa, in groups represented the secondary school teachers’ team and students’ team, as well as the department’s lecturer team, in addition to the presence of the innovators (Al-Iraqiya here) with each team. The team of Al-Mutamaizat secondary school students won in a remarkable way through answering a collection of questions of various information in science, history, sports, literature and others. The competition atmosphere was enjoyable for all attendees and dominated by competition and dialogue spirit. Through their words, the Deputy and the President of the University praised the organization of the competition and the opportunity for interaction it created between the students and teachers of the school and the university, and the great role of Iraqi women in building society and the country.

The competition items’ included presenting and training on martial arts and self-defense presented by (Asif Family Academy) for martial arts. The defensive movements were dedicated to how women defend themselves in cases of assault, presented by a group of Iraqi heroines in this field.

At the end of the activity, the winning shields were distributed to the members of the winning team, and the participation shield was distributed to Asif Academy by the president of the university.

As well as certificates of appreciation for the participation by the Deputy.

Also, the Al-Mutamaizat secondary school and Asif Academy were honored by the department head.

In appreciation to the role of the Deputy in supporting the women of education and his attendance at the competition hosted by the university, the university president presented the university’s shield to the Deputy.
