University of Technology participate in the activities of the first university media forum
The University of Technology participated in the activities of the first university media forum held by the University of Diyala, which was represented by the Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the university, Dr. Sari Tahsin Rishan.
The President of the University of Diyala, Prof. Dr. Abdel Moneim Abbas Karim, inaugurated the activities of the first university media forum, which was organized by the Department of Media and Public Relations in cooperation with the Department of Relations and Information in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the slogan (Managing Challenges and Digital Accompaniment) with the participation of directors of media and public relations departments in Iraqi universities.
The President of the University, the representative of his Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Nabil Kahdim Abdul-Sahib, said in the forum: I am pleased and honored to convey to your glorious gathering the greetings of the Excellency, the Minister and his wishes for the participants in this forum for success as they take their steps towards developing work and sustainable development in the field of digital media and community service.
The Director of the Relations and Information Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Haider Al-Aboudi, presented at the forum a documentary film entitled (The Pleasure of Challenges), a qualitative lecture in which he addressed the specifications of the official discourse, the most important of which are objectivity, impartiality and providing correct information with evidence, as well as touching on the functions of the spokesperson, his characteristics and elements of influence on the recipients, calling the participants in the forum media managers Universities have to be responsible towards their institutions and work on creating an influential discourse in the public to achieve the goals they rise to.
For his part, the head of the Council for Quality Assurance of Education for Media Faculties in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar Al-Shammari, in his speech during the forum, which was held in Al-Salam Hall, highlighted the importance of institutional media in the bright image of universities and creating awareness among workers of the university’s goals and constantly developing this awareness, stressing that holding the forum in light of these challenges is an indicator and a guide to the keenness of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research And the presidency of Diyala University to strive hard to develop the reality of the university media in a manner commensurate with the status and size of educational institutions.
