The Central Committee of Safety and Civil Defense held first meeting at UOT by the head of Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, Assistant President Administrative Affairs, membership of the Director of Internal Departments, Director of the Media Department, Director of the Department of Divan Affairs, Director of the Construction and Projects Department, Director of the University Follow-up Department, Director of the Human Resources Department, and Official of the University Maintenance Division And the official of the Civil Defense Division.

During the meeting, it was decided to distribute duties to all members of the committee to inspect the university buildings during look down period that decided by the Supreme Crisis Cell in order to oversee the progress of the safety and civil defense process at the university.
