Lecturer participates in MSC discussion

Asst.Prof.Dr.Qahtan Adnan, a lecturer at Materials Engineering Department at University of Technology, participated as a member in the discussion committee of the MSC student Samer Kamil for his thesis "The Impact of Calcium Carbonate Nanoparticles Incorporation into Heat Cured Soft Denture Lining Material on Thermal Conductivity and Some Other Properties" 

The thesis aimed to evaluate the effect of adding different ratios of nanoscale calcium carbonate on the soft acrylic liner and heat treatment of the denture base material in terms of physical properties (thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and X-ray transmittance). Some mechanical properties resistance, hardness and surface roughness), better addition rates for nanoscale calcium carbonate were (1.5, 2) which led to an increase in most properties.

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof.Dr.Thikra Ismaeel and the membership of Prof.Dr.Wasmaa Sadiq and Asst.Prof.Dr.Qahtan Adnan, Asst.Prof.Dr.Hikmat Jameel as supervisor, Asst.Prof.Dr.Thikra Mohammed as scientific reviewer and Prof.Dr.Deyaa Mozhir as a linguistic reviewer.
