Department of Chemical Engineering holds the second scientific conference for postgraduate studies
The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology held the Second Scientific Conference for Postgraduate Studies titled "Postgraduate Research in Chemical Engineering and its Effects in the Development of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Pathways" for the period 10-11 / 5/2017 in the presence of the President of the University of Technology Prof. Amin Douai Thamer. Prof. Dr. Ghassan Majeed Abdel Hamid, Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel-Hassan Attieh, Jamal Al-Rubaie and a number of department heads, center directors, students and university students.
The university president said: "The University of Technology has directed a great deal in its direction in addition to the global publication and the necessity of publishing in international journals with influence factor (I-F)." He pointed out that we have entered many university journals under the umbrella of scops and work in the Journal of Engineering and Technology. It is one of the scops' orientations. I would like to thank the Supervisory Committee for organizing this specialized conference. I do not hide that the establishment of these conferences has many positive effects on the researchers as graduate students and supervisors at the same time.
The head of the department said that the conference aims at continuous communication between researchers from professors supervising post graduate students and exchanging experience in the specialization of research tracks in chemical engineering and also know researchers and postgraduate students on the type of problems and research trends underway so as not to intersect between research projects, Which serves the solution of industrial and oil problems. He added that the conference in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Department of Research and Development on the need to hold specialized conferences in graduate studies periodically.
The conference included several topics: modern technologies in industrial water treatment, modern applications of auxiliary agents and nanomaterials in chemical and oil industries, modeling, simulation and control of chemical engineering, field applied research in the oil industry, pharmaceutical research and food industries, petrochemicals and polymer technology, electrochemical engineering.
