Prof. Dr. Al-Ghaban participating  in a Discussion Workshop  

On Tuesday, 21/12/2021, the President of U.O.T. , Prof. Dr. Ahmed M. Hassan Al-Ghaban, participated in a specialized workshop to discuss the support of Iraqi universities and professors in the technological fields of design and manufacturing, which was held at Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies in cooperation with the University of Technology, which witnessed the presence of National Security Adviser Mr. Qassem Al-Araaji and a number of university presidents and deans of colleges specialized in this field.

The workshop participants discussed the possibility of designing and manufacturing drones and other fields in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through teaching staff and students.

In a speech during the workshop, Al-Araaji stressed the importance of providing direct support to universities, institutes, professors and students of studies in the fields of design and technological manufacturing, in a way that contributes to securing these industries through national cadres, calling for easing the procedures that stand in the way of applied research and scientific progress.

Prof. Dr. Al-Ghaban said, in his participation, that we will work hard through this workshop to provide the specialized colleges with the needs of laboratories, examination equipment, inspection equipment, and raw materials needed by colleges and institutes, provided that these needs are raised by the competent authorities to provide the necessary funds to sustain the design and manufacture of academic research efforts as well as attention Students of primary and postgraduate studies that specialize in studying some of the required disciplines and providing infrastructure for their projects, as well as providing job opportunities for them after graduation.

The workshop was concluded by submitting recommendations and proposals to advance applied scientific research concerning the field of technological industries.
