A Teacher in Computer Engineering Dept. Gives a Lecture on the National Plan for Human Rights in Iraq
Under the instructions of Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan/Head of Computer Engineering Dept., Lect. Baydaa Abdul-Jabbar from Computer Engineering Dept. gave a lecture on the national plan for human rights in Iraq, on Tuesday, 9/11/2021, and on conference hall in the department.
The lecture aims to raise awareness and educate students regarding how far are human rights being implemented in Iraq and to introduce them to the most prominent Iraqi laws that guarantee the rights of the Iraqi citizen and to know the draft laws that have not yet been approved and related to this concern.
The lecture dealt with the measures taken by the Iraqi government regarding the implementation of the Arab Charter on Human Rights in response to the recommendations of the Arab Human Rights Committee.
The lecture discussed the most prominent bills related to guaranteeing human rights in Iraq and presented to Iraqi Parliament Council for to be discussed and approved.
