Control and System Engineering Department Grant MSC

Control and System Engineering Department at University of Technology grants MSC to the student Ahmed Hassan for his thesis (Nonlinear Mixed H-infinity/Extended Kalman Filter for Speed Control of Asynchronous Motor)

The thesis includes Control engineering specializes in the definition of induction motors (IM), which are one of the most widely used machines in constant speed applications. The induction motor model is highly non-linear with a field-oriented method. The dynamic behavior of IM is somewhat similar to that of a separately excited DC motor.  Field Oriented Control (FOC) strategy is used to control AC motors, originally developed for high performance motor applications required to operate smoothly over the full speed range and generate full torque at zero speed, and has high dynamic performance in FOC Separate torque control can be achieved  The volume of the flow, FOC system was used direct quadratic conversion.

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof.Dr.Raid Falih and the membership of Asst.Prof.Dr.Abbas Hussein, Lect.Dr.Yasser Nabeel and Asst.Prof.Dr.Farazdaq Rafeeq as a member and supervisor.
