Control and Systems Engineering Department Is Discussing a Master Thesis

A master thesis was discussed in Department of Control and Systems Engineering at the U.O.T. entitled:-

(Information Security Management for Electronic Healthcare System)

The research of Ameera Kadhum Jabbar, major in Computer Engineering, aimed to confirm the integrity, reliability and confidentiality of medical images through a combination of watermark and encryption techniques and the suggested segmentation method for strong JPEG compression. Likewise, this method resists many image processing attacks such as filtering, adding noise and some engineering transformations

It included the transfer of medical images to other remote locations through the electronic health care system. The protection of medical images is extremely important, so the medical images must be protected from any modification that the attacker may make through the insecure channel. It is necessary to check the integrity of the ROI (area of ​​interest) of the medical image. Received before adopting any diagnostic decision to avoid misdiagnosis

The experimental results demonstrated the robustness of the watermark against a wide variety of aggressive and geometrical signal processing distortions.
