Department of Control and Systems Engineering Discusses a Master Thesis
A master thesis was discussed in Department of Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Technology entitled: Implementation of a cognitive radio system based on the OFDM transmitter and receiver using energy detection technology
(Implementation of Transceiver for Cognitive Radio Based Wireless Network)
The thesis of student / Areej M. Kadhum, major in Computer Engineering, wireless communications are witnessing a great development, which raises demand for radio spectrum. Nevertheless, spectrum is a limited resource that cannot be divided indefinitely to meet any use. In the future of wireless networks, a three-stage design methodology was presented. A transmission system was implemented.
The OFDM reception in the first stage using QPSK modulation technology using Simulink Xilinx / MATLAB, the second stage of the proposal is to discover the design power of the OFDM transmitter and receiver. This system was analyzed in the framework of the XSG based on the AWGN channel, at the end another system works to improve the performance of the spectrum based sensor Pd, pf and SNR power detection.
The discussion committee consisted of:-
