The Department of Control and Systems Engineering discusses a master's thesis on designing different methods of controlling and sliding pattern to mechanical systems

Discussion of a master's thesis  in the Department of Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Technology, tagged:(Different SMC Design Approaches for Mechanical Systems)

Thesis by student Dina Hamid Tohme, majoring in Control Engineering, aimed to create SMC control systems that are effective and efficient in controlling systems that are affected by identical uncertainties.

The presence of large frequency oscillations in the control signal defined by chatter is one of the main drawbacks of the control of the classic slip mode CSMC.

The experimental results from the combination of the MATLAB / Simulink2019a simulation with the LabVIEW / 2020 software demonstrated the ability of CSMC to force the actual robotic angle positions and angular velocities to follow the desired pathway and eliminate system chatter.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Qasim Ibrahim as Chairman and Prof. Safana Mazhar Raafat and Prof. Yasser Nabil Ibrahim, members. Prof.Ahmed Khalaf Hammoudi supervisor.
