UOT University President congratulates Prof. Hussein A. Jaber on  Materials Engineering Department assumption

The President of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, congratulated the Head of the Material Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Alaa Jaber, on his assumption of the position of Department Presidency.

The Construction and Projects Department is completing the construction of a bridge linking the two buildings of computer science

The Construction and Projects Department at the University of Technology has completed construction work of a bridge linking the two buildings of the Department of Computer Science in a style consistent with the facade of the two buildings coated with stone, which gives an aesthetic in the unification of packaging materials between the past and the present.

The bridge consists of a metal structure installed with four main pillars and a casting floor coated with plastic rugs and plastic panels for the walls as it contains six windows for the purpose of lighting and ventilation as well as external packaging with (sandwich panel) and final packaging with a Styrofoam stone style in order to impart an architectural style that is consistent with the requirements Structural and urban era.

The Department of Petroleum Technology hosted a meeting of the Committee of Experts chaired by Prof. Ali Mohsen Al-Mashat and in the presence of the head of the department Prof. Dr. Fadhel Sarhan Kazim and Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering / Baghdad University Prof. Dr. Faleh Al-Mahdawi and Dr. Ahmed Khalil and the scientific assistant of the Department Dr. Najem Abdel-Kazim, Prof. Ahmed Abdullah Ramadan and Prof. Ramzi Sihoud, on 5/1/2020, in the Hall of the Department Council.

The meeting discussed the completion of the system of scientific decisions in the department and consideration of the agenda sent by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the committee.

The Environmental Research Center holds a seminar on pollution of water resources

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology held a seminar titled Pollution of Water Resources, during which the director of the center, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid Muhammad Jawad Al-Ubaidi, gave a lecture in which the most important key messages that characterized the reality of water resources in Iraq were kept, while the limited availability of water and its scarcity and inability to Achieving the current and future investment requirements, the reason for the increasing population, increasing water consumption and the growing technological capabilities that negatively affect the environment, which all led to the emergence of competition for water uses and environmental pollution.

At the end of the lecture, the most important research themes in the field of water resources were discussed, which can be adopted as research directions within the long-term scientific plan of the Environmental Research Center.

The university committee continues the work of auditing the procedures of the exam committees in the departments of electrical and mechanical engineering, computer and control and systems
