University of Technology adopts e-learning system in all scientific colleges
The electronic university website division at the Information Technology Center organized a workshop to the members of the scientific departments. In order to activate the e-learning system in university departments. The website division provide an activate accounts to members of department and explain the mechanism of providing students in preliminary studies and postgraduate studies by using the official e-mail address in order to use the e-learning system through Google Classroom. Thus, activating the role of lecturer in scientific departments in creating E-learning classes system.
The workshop was opened by the Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Rana Farid Ghani, and the lecturer, Driss Alaa Jassim Director of the University's Web site.
The workshop organized in the Center for Information Technology. The departments was participated and activated the e-learning system as flowing below:

Petroleum Department Lecturers Participates in the Fourth Iraq Oil & Gas Conference
participated in the 4th Iraq Oil and Gas Conference held at the oil cultural center in Basra for two days with the presence of a large number of experts and engineers working and interested in the oil sector.
The conference presented 80 scientific researches in the field of oil and gas industry, including research and postgraduate studies in the department.
The participants are: Assist.Prof.Dr Mohammed Saleh Al-Jawad, Head of the Department, Assist.Prof.Dr.Assour Abdul Rasool, Assist.Prof.Dr. Najem Abdul Kadhim, Assist.Prof.Dr Ramzi Sahioud, and Assis.Lect. Mohamed Ghazi,Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Hassan and Dr. Maysa Ali and students Ghufran Faleh and the Massara Salam and Amir Ali and Ibrahim Abdel Salam.

The Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology held a workshop within the program of seminar entitled:
(Importance and requirements of graduation projects)
The workshop focused on the scientific and methodological formula to discuss the graduation of the students of the fourth stage and to clarify the basic requirements and the correct scientific methods that the student should follow during the research period and focus on how to write the graduation project in a linguistic and scientific manner, in order to serve the requirements of successful scientific research and benefit from this research in all fields Serving industry and society.
The workshop included answering all inquiries from students, discussing the issues of their research and focusing on meeting the deadline for writing the project.
The lectures were given by the Assist.Prof.Dr. Alaa Hassan Ali and Assist.Prof.Dr. wafa Mahdi Saleh.
Control Engineering Department holds a course on the recognition of practical aspects in the analysis of electrical circuits
The Department of Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Technology held a course on "Identifying the practical aspects of electrical circuit analysis" within the activities of the scientific activity.
The lectures were given by Assis.Prof. Omar Farouk Lotfi and the technical commentator Walid Shakram Mahmoud.
The course also aimed to introduce the practical issues related to the connection of the electrical circuits and the introduction of some important basic laws in the analysis of the circuits. The course also explained the methods of measuring the basic electrical quantities including the current and voltages and the definition of the method of reading the resistors in the way of color coding, Some of the basic laws have targeted the students of the Faculty of Engineering for all specialties due to the importance of the subject of the analysis of the circuits.
120 trainees in the good laboratory practices course
The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology organized a course on GLP good laboratory practices with the participation of 120 trainees from the University of Technology.
The course aims at educating participants about the good practices of laboratories and improving their quality.
Its curriculum includes an introduction to the laboratory standard, the terms of the GLP standard, and how to qualify and obtain the certificate.
The lectures were given by Assis.Prof. Abdul Khaleq Fawzi from the Department of Production and Metallurgical Engineering and Consultant Majid Ahmed Ali.
