The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ali al-Adeeb, and the president of South Korea(LS) sign a Cooperation Agreement for the project E- Campus, which will include 23 Iraqi universities, the work will begin first in the University of Technology and hoped to complete it within a maximum period of six months from the date of beginning .
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research said that (This Agreement is considered the first step in the field of higher education in Iraq to move to a new situation based on e-Infrastructures) . And it started in the university of Technology and will expand to include all Iraqi universities .
Dr. Mazen Samir Ali, Director of Information and communication Technology Center / University of Technology, View a summary of the project, explained that the project of the E-Campus as a pilot projects in the Middle East, and includes several themes including the development of mobile communication systems - visual and the establishment of the system of electronic smart (smart computer rooms) and digital educational studio, in addition to the establishment of Pavilion of the Information Technology (IT Pavilion), laboratories, technical , and other modern technologies, the implementation of this project will take (6) months, and will use technical and engineering team from members of the university to implement the project by working with Korean experts, which will contribute to the transfer of global expertise of the Iraqi engineers.
