The Department of Architecture Engineering organizes a workshop on the urban impact of migration from the countryside to the city
The Department of Architecture in the University of Technology held a workshop entitled "The Urban Impact of Migration from the countryside to the city and the role of rural housing as a strategy to reduce the phenomenon" at the Hall of the Department of Architecture in the presence of the Head of Department Prof.Dr. Ibrahim Jawad Kazem and his scientific assistants. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Saadoun Salman and a number of professors from inside and outside the department.
The workshop started with papers presented by researchers representing the supporting bodies of the workshop entitled "The Iraqi Experiment in Rural Housing" by Dr. Mohammed Haidar Abdul Hadi from the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, and a working paper on "Rural Housing Standards" presented by Dr. Mohammed Mahdi from the Department of Studies And research in the Municipality of Baghdad, and an introductory introduction to the aspects of the phenomenon of rural migration to the city by Dr. Adi Abbas from the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology, An introduction to rural housing by Dr. Khansaa Ghazi from the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology, Urban Villages delivered by Dr. Sanaa Satea Abbas from the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology, and a working paper on "Issues in Informal Urban Housing" by Dr. Ihsan Sabah Al Sarai from the Urban and Regional Planning Center at Baghdad University and a work paper entitled "Migration and Urbanization". Delivered by dr. Mahdi Saleh Faraj from the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the recommendations were read, and the certificates were distributed to all the participants by the scientific assistant Dr. Basim Hassan Hashim .
