Applied Science Department at the University of
Technology grantedMSc for a student Saja Ayad Kadhim for her thesis
tagged "Preparing overlapping materials with Carbon to tackle the
erosion of oil filters towers " in the debate, which was held at the
hall of the deceased Prof. Dr. Abdul Muttalib Ibrahim of the department. The committee of discussion consists of:- - Prof. Dr. Balqis Mohammed Dhia. (The head) - Assist.Prof.Dr. Zaid Tariq Khudair. (The member) - Mufid Abdul Latif Jalil. (The member) - Assist.Prof.Dr. Salam Hussein Ali. (Supervisor) - Prof. Rola Abdul Khudir Abbas (Supervisor) - Prof. Harith Ibrahim Jaafar. (Scientific expert) Assist Prof.Dr. Ayad Jihad Shams Aldin.(Linguistic expert)- In the study, conducted coating process of Stainless Steel 304 and used in the inner lining of the upper part of the oil filtering Tower withsodium silicate material (Water Glass) to study the possibility of reducing the negative effects of fumes oil components on the lifespan of these towers. It is prepared a number of sodium silicate component supportedby micro crafta time and nano carbonsparticles in another onein an enhancing rate ((1-5% in mixing way)). The study showed that the coating alloy with glass water leads to lower thermal conductivity by ((13.47 W / m. K compared non-coated alloy, to continue this fall with the addition of reinforcement materials for up to (0.1909W / m. K) when consolidation of 1% of powdered graphite and (0.09135 W / m. K) for consolidation of 1% of the nano carbon, but this decline quickly decreases with increasing consolidation ratios. |
