Chemical Engineering Department made a lecture on Rheology of manufacturing and properties of the Nano Polymeric composites depended

Within the events of scientific and cultural activities for the first semester of the Department of Chemical Engineering for the academic year 2014-2015 , Dr. Nabila Adel Mohammed delivered a lecture of her thesis entitled (Rheology of manufacturing and properties of the depended Nano Polymeric composites depended on POSS and Boehmite) on Al-Khwarizmi hall in the presence of Scientific deputy Prof. Dr. Qusay Fadel , heads of branches ,number of teaching staff , employees and students of the department . The lecture identified two types of Poss ( Polyhedral) oligomericsilses quixane (OibPOSS) octaisobutyl, (Tsp POSS) trisilanolphenyl Poss.
They were mixed by the method of fusion with polyethylene which has low density (LEPE) and polyethylene which has low linear density (LLDPE) in varying degrees by the use of (Brabenderplastograph) the Rheology behavior for Nano-polymeric materials which was studied by frequency sweep tests and observe a decrease in viscosity by adding Oib POSS to LLDPE and LDPE. The decrease in viscosity was more clarity in 270 degree of heat while mixing Tsp POSS make increase the viscosity of polyethylene.
