University of Technology is celebrating the graduation of thirty-ninth session of its students

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research: I hope that all universities follow the steps of the University of Technology in finding jobs for graduated students

University President: We are proud of our university graduates who have proved remarkable success in the practical life

In an atmosphere filled with joy and pleasure, University of Technology celebrated on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 occasion of the thirty-ninth session of its graduated students (Peace and Development cycle ) for the academic year 2013-2014 in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hussain al-Shahristani and governor of Baghdad, Ali al-Tamimi, and the president of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer Al-Tamimi, two members of parliament Dr. Haidar al-Shammari and Haidar Alfoadi, deans and general directors and a number of personalities.
The ceremony started with the national anthem, the music has been played by the musician group in the first military college then carriers of the Iraqi flag entered into the celebration yard, followed by the carriers of the slogan of the Republic of Iraq, and the carriers of the logo of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research , and the carriers of the university logo which is carried by champion students of the first Military College who took part in the celebration .After that the graduated groups of the 14 scientific and engineering departments reviewed according to their seniority and giving an overview of each department with its entry to the yard, followed by the top ranked students in scientific and engineering departments at the university and ending the review with the University Council.
After that the celebration of events began, which included a number of items , opened with verses from the Holy Quran read by the student Hassan Jawad from the Department of Architecture and then read Al-Fatihah in the honor of the souls of the martyrs of Iraq.
In addition , the ceremonial witnessed for the first time playing anthem of the University of Technology which was written and composed by Dr. Adnan Hardan Al-Sudani from the Department of Information and Public Relations at the University of Technology.

Celebration of the graduates have a great significance

Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer al-Tamimi, president of the University of Technology gave a speech in the occasion in which he said: The celebration today because of the graduation of a new group of students in engineering and scientific departments at the University of Technology, thirty-ninth session "peace and development cycle" for the academic year 2013-2014 has a great significance in our souls which coincides with the graduation of first group of graduates from the department of petroleum technology, in which we hope that it will be an essential base to our country because of the importance of oil in the national economy .
He added that the university has succeeded in opening channels with the state institutions and the private sector for the appointment of university graduates through the foundation of employment unit, which witness a large numbers of visitors of graduated students, UOT president was pointing to that "We are proud of our university graduates who have proved remarkable success in practical life in current year in that the graduates of architectural department participated in having Cup of uniquity for architectural Innovation for graduation projects of Iraqi graduates in the colleges of Architecture engineering in the Iraqi and foreign universities.
While We live in these beautiful days because of the graduation of a new group of our students, we are honored to remember our previous university graduates who have succeeded in filling important jobs and we are proud that the Prime Minister is one of the graduates of the University of Technology.
At the end of his speech, the president wishes to the graduates a good luck and a life full of contributions in order to serve our great country.

Shahristani praises University of Technology
 

His excellency ,the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hussain al-Shahristani expressed his happiness because of the great development that has occurred at the university, which has become one of the Iraqi prestigious universities that can be referred to by fingertips , and always standing in the first scientific lines , as well as his excellency expresses his happiness because of foundation of new colleges in the latest human technology.
He referred to that "the graduation of a new group of our students is a message that Iraq will not stop construction in spite of the attempts by terrorists to deactivate the educational process.
Adding that he was happy because the University is communicating with its students to find jobs suitable for their specializations because this is considered an important matter , and I thank the university for this effort, and I hope that all universities follow the steps of UOT in finding job for graduates.
His excellency ended his speech by saying " I thank on your behalf the professors starting from the university president , deans and all the teachers for their efforts in teaching, and thank you for your hard work. I wish you and your families a bright and happy future for a prosperous and secured Iraq , where people can live in love and peace.

Granting Bachelor's Degree

The assistant professor Dr. Wisam Kazim Hamdan, UOT vice president for scientific affairs, submit the recommendation to grant the Bachelor certificate in Engineering Science for the graduates from engineering departments and the degree of Bachelor in Scientific science for the graduates from scientific departments with all the rights and privileges of them. After that the president of the university read the order of granting certificates for graduates and then Prof. Dr. Sami Wahid Radhi Al-Hasnawi, UOT vice president for administrative affairs, repeat the university swear for the students.

Honoring the 1st graduates

The University of Technology fells proud for the efforts , hard work and excellence of the 1st graduates .... The Minister of Higher Education, accompanied by the President of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer are distributing gifts to the university 1st excellent graduates in the departments of UOT for the academic year 2013-2014 "Peace and Development cycle." Those graduates are: Saif Raed Saeed Baqir /1st rank in the university / Department of Applied Science / Applied Mathematics branch with an average 93.705 . The second graduate is Hussein Ali Hadi Hassan/electromechanical engineering department / systems engineering branch with an average 90.941 and the third is Hummam Hussein Mohammed Faraj/department of Construction and building Engineering / Structural Engineering branch with an average 90.889. Gifts were also distributed to the 1st graduates in the departments of university. they are Abubakar Saeb Issa Hassan / Department of Computer Science / artificial intelligent with an average 89.846 and Nadine Jaafar Ismail Hamoudi / Department of materials Engineering with an average 88.316 and Mohammed Khudair Rashid Dysh / Department of Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering branch with an average 86.307 and Iman Ahmed Abdul-Sahib Ridha / Department of machinery and equipment engineering/ Cars Engineering branch with an average 85.603 Engineering , Saif Saad Mahdi Saeed / chemical engineering department / oil and gas engineering with an average 85.581 , Osama Hatem Hussein Ali / Department of production and metal / Industrial Engineering with an average 85.473 , Ahmed Razak Sahal Wanan/ Petroleum Technology Department /Petroleum Engineering with an average 84.494 , Mustafa Karim Khashan Mutlaq /Department of control and Systems Engineering / Control Engineering with an average 83.905, Rania Rooney Aziz Hanna / Department of Computer Engineering/ IT Engineering with an average 83.012 , Hiba Basil Ali Hadi / Department of laser Engineering and Optical electronics / optical electronics with an average 82.770 and finally Hamid Resan Ali Abboud / Department of Architectural engineering with an average 80.771.
The governor of Baghdad Ali al-Tamimi distributed gifts to the 2nd ranked graduates in the departments of the University of Technology .In addition to that the two members of the Iraqi parliament council Dr. Haidar Al-Shammari and Haidar Alfoadi distributed gifts to 3rd ranked graduates in the departments of University of Technology.
