A lecture was held by the Department to study the National Power Network Status
As part of the scientific activities in the Electrical Department and in the presence of the Head of Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dhari Yousif , Eng. Yahia Abbas Jaber, Manager of the Operation and Control Department, and Eng. Yaser Nadhem, Head of the Studies Department in the National Control Centre, delivered a lecture about the power system current situation in the country titled:
Iraqi Network Dispatch Center and Regional Control Center Data System; An Overview
And that was on Monday 07/05/2015 on Dijlah Hall attended by number of teaching staff and students.
The lecture included the mechanism of how the centre is managing the loads and the demand and SCADA system and other telecommunication systems used in addition to the relationship between the centre in Baghdad and other centres in the provinces.
