·        Attending the 4th Jordanian Civil Engineering Conference in Amman with a paper accepted for presentation entitled “Field and Laboratory Evaluation of a Soft Clay Southern Iraq” from 28 to 30 June 2006.

·        Attending the first Middle East international conference on advances in civil, mechanical, and materials engineering. 10-13 of may 2005 University of Jordan, Amman – Jordan with presentation of my accepted paper "Evaluation of finite element techniques for slope stability analysis".

·        Expansive soils in Baghdad with some proposed remedies, by Husam Hikmat Baqir, Al-Mohandas Journal of the Iraqi Society of Engineers serial 146-2001.

1.)  Training course in INP Grenoble / France  for three months  from 15/5/2006 through the invitation  by  the  Federation  of  schools  of  Engineering  in France sponsored by UNISCO. So I  stay  in  the  Institute   national  polytechnique  de  Grenoble  in  France   attending    many   Seminars   and   see   the  new    advances   in   the   soil       mechanic laboratory.

·        Design and construction of civil engineering works.

·        Piles and piling techniques and pile test.

·        Consulting team for executing piles of Al-Rahman and the Big Mosque in Baghdad, Casting, reinforcement and also the quality control of the bentonite slurry which is often used in such works.

·        Responsibilities related to the engineering consulting bureau of the University of Technology and design for a number of projects and earth works.
