As part of the scientific and academic activities of Department of Architecture, the Architectural Design & Construction Techniques of Bismayah City Symposium has been held with the presence of Dr. Amin Douai Thamer the President of the University Dr. Sami al-Al a’raji the head of the National Investment Commission , Eng.Jabar Hamza Lateef. General Manager of National Center for Engineering consulting(NCEC) and Engineer Alahn Saad chasip as a representative of Resident Engineer in addition to a number of employees of the Ministry of Housing and Construction and faculty members of the university of Baghdad and representatives of Korean Haiyan company who designed the project and representatives of Hanwha company as a main contractor . Basmajh project contains 100 000 residential units in addition to the required facilities and infrastructure. The President of the University of Technology delivered a welcome speech followed by Mr. Sami al-Araji speech about the project .Hanawa representative ended the ceremony with a data show an Illustrative speech of the project and its Initial stages.

the symposium program included : -


1. Dr. Sami Raouf Al-Araji/ President of the National Investment Commission(NIC). Lecture title: “the role of Empowerment and Funding in the housing projects in Iraq”

2. Prof.Dr.Amin D.Thamir/ President of the University of Technology(UOT).

3. The representative of Hanwha E&C Company. Lecture title” The construction techniques in Bismayah Project.”

4. Eng.Alahin Chasib Saad as a representative of the General Manager of Buildings Circle.(MOCH). Lecture title” The role of the resident engineer to control the activities of implementation”

5. The representative of HAEAHN Architecture company. Lecture title: . planning and designing process in Bismayah Project.

6- Eng.Jabar Hamza Lateef. General Manager of National Center for Engineering consulting(NCEC). Lecture title:" The role of the consultant work on residential projects designs and the development of housing in the public and private sector"
