Tamayouz
Excellence Award for Iraqi Architecture since its foundation in 2012
leads to the exchange of educational knowledge opportunities for the
student winners. The award, which sponsored by the international jury
chaired by the late Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, included a scholarship
to the first winner under the auspices of the Iraqi Business Council in
Jordan and Majid AlSadi Scholarship Foundation’s , training for student
winners in second and third place under the patronage of Dewan
Architects and Engineers.
Ten winners of annual contest graduation projects awarded in addition to
the meeting with the pioneers of Iraqi and international architectures
was of the most important achievements of this award to encourage them
towards the accomplishment of their creative study, University of
Technology is proud of winning the first place in the competition for
(under graduation projects) category of at the level of Iraq's
universities for three consecutive years . The first winner for the year
2013 is Khalid Riydh who currently studying on British Universities at a
scholarship granted by Saadi Scholarship Foundation,the second and
fourth place for 2013-2014 own by the students Huda Abdul Karim ,who
begun her studies with the beginning of this year while the student
Hadeel Safa Saadoun completed an MSc. Degree at Coventry British
University.
Hadeel granted (Excellent) for her thesis titled " Projects Efficient
Management Using Building Information Modeling System" .She joined the
research team at Coventry University on this project and joined the
research team at Queen's University of British,she also participated in
the Global Options Leaders program, which lead by Coventry University in
collaboration with international universities to develop the leadership
skills of the graduates .She studied Humanitarian Affairs at Hong Kong
Polytechnic University in China in the summer of 2015. At the University
of Technology she pioneered and participated in the cultural exchange
program and studied public policy at the University of Massachusetts in
US. she is currently seeking to use her knowledge within the
universities to create opportunities for the University of Technology .

within her fruitful journey , the most beautiful events were meeting the
pioneer Iraqi architect Dr.Rifaat al Chaderchi during his doctorate
honorary by Coventry University in addition to her visit to the Iraqi
architect Dame Zaha Hadid, who has been named the 2016 recipient of the
Royal Gold Medal, the Royal Gold Medal is approved personally by Her
Majesty The Queen honor of the Royal Society of British Architects, Zaha
Hadid was the main sponsor of Tamayouz .The main goal of this
sponsorship is that there are pioneers who appreciate the hard work of
architect , she was also pleased to meet Iraqi students at her lecture
this year in London .
University of Technology appreciates this success and has sincere thanks
to the founder of this award Ahmed Al-Malak , Tamayouz team and all the
supporters at Coventry University of British for its hostess to the
Iraqi student’s talents .We wish to achieve the best for the future of
the Iraqi architecture.
