Under the attention of the president of the university of technology Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir, the Mechanical Engineering Department / Automotive branch held their engineering student seminar entitled: the new technologies in Diesel Engines at the Dr. Muneer Hall  on Wednesday 1/4/2015 at 9:00AM. The seminar started with the national anthem and some verses of the holy Quran and reciting alfatiha for Iraqi martyrs. After that, the president of the university gave a short speech followed by the speech of the head of automotive Eng. branch Dr. Muhsen Noori, emphasizing on the latest technologies in diesel engines to improve its performance with respect to increasing the power and efficiency besides reducing the exhaust polutions. Later, engineer Ali Zaini Hussien, the representative of MAN , the German truck company gave a speech about the new technologies in diesel engines. Finally, Dr. Haider Abid Dhahad, manager of Training and workshop center, gave a speech about the variable combustion phases in diesel engines. The seminar was concluded by awarding letters of appreciation.
