Under the attention of the president of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir, the Mechanical Engineering Department / Aircraft Engineering branch held their engineering student seminar entitled: (The New Trends in Aircraft Engineering) at the Dr. Muneer Hall,  on Thursday 2/4/2015 at9:00AM . The seminar started with the national anthem and some verses of the Holy Quran and reciting of Surat Alfatiha for the martyrs or Iraq. After that, the president of the university gave a short speech followed by the speech of the head of Aircraft Engineering Branch Professor Dr. Arkan Khilkhal Al Taie, emphasizing on the latest technologies in aircraft systems and design. Later, Dr. Emad Natiq gave a speech about the new technologies in aircraft stability, followed by a lecture by student Khuther Abdul Ameer about design and dynamic analysis of a Quad Copter. Another lecture was then given by Eng. Saad Abbas Hussein about the dynamic simulation of aircraft guidance using Labview. Eng. Ahmed Tawfeeq gave a speech titled (opportunities in Aircraft field). The last lecturer was student Saif Saleh entitled: (The Simulation of an Aircraft Using SolidWorks and ANSYS). At the end of the seminar letters of appreciation were awarded
