Seminar entitled (Authentication and Verification of keystroke Dynamics Features using PCA )

On  Sunday, 24/11/2013, the MSc student Mina Khedir Obaid presented a seminar under the title of “Authentication and Verification of keystroke Dynamics Features using PCA  ” this seminar has concentrated on:
With the development in technology and Internet area, information systems become more vulnerable to password attacks, which can be lost or stolen. Key stroke dynamics, which is the typing rhythms that the typist exhibits while typing on the keyboard, provides a promising security solution, since it is based on “what” the user knows and “who” the user is. In the proposed system, timing features have been extracted. Neural Network (NN) has been employed for user classification process with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) as an optimization technique in order to reduce the training time of NN and to enhance the system performance.
The seminar has been attended by the department stuff members as well as the postgraduate students.
