The two students from the Department of Petroleum Technology at the University of Technology participated in the third conference of Environment and Sustainable Development held at the University for the period from 15-16 / 11/2017 in the research entitled "Ultrasound Technology in Wastewater Treatment by Coagulation Electric "

The study included conducting a study to investigate the possibility of using ultrasound technology as a new technique to help improve the efficiency of the removal of industrial wastewater with technical coagulation technique. The researcher, Assist.Prof.Dr. Najem Abdelkazem, discussed the possibility of using this technique to treat industrial polluted water. The conference is a tribute to their outstanding role and contribution

Assist.Prof. Dr Sami Ibrahim Al-Rubaie, Head of the Mining and Extraction Engineering Department at the Department of Production and Minerals Engineering at the University of Technology, participated in the first international conference for pure sciences of Qadisiyah University, which was held on 19 and 20 of November 2017.

Lecturer participates in the ADIPEC Conference

Asst.lect.Ibrahim Abdul-Salam, lecturer at the petroleum technology department at the university of technology, participated in the international conference ADIPEC which was hold in UAE/   Abo-Dabi with his research "Predict the problems of drilling in the fields of Basra using the Smartphone application" which supervised by Prof.Dr.Mohammed Salih and Dr.Bashar Sadoon. The researcher presented during the conference an explanatory presentation of his research, which is the first research of its kind in the field of drilling software dealing with the oil sector, as the research is part of his master's thesis that he granted with excellent degree. At the end of the conference, the researcher gained an appreciation letter for his efforts.

Participated Dr. Thamer Jassim Mohammed from the Department of Conference marked: The Eight Jordan International Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology at the International Chemical Engineering Conference, JIChEC2017 held in Jordan for 7-9 / 11/2017. He gave Dr. Thamer's research tagged Turbidity and Oil Removal from oilfield Produced water by Coagulation- Flocculation Technique. From the dissertation of the master student Asra Radhi Abbas and accredited as a contract for the Ministry of Oil / Oil Research and Development Center.

The conference included some of the topics in the specialty of chemical engineering, including separation, hydrodynamics, albayo, energy alternatives and water pollution.

Eng. Dr. Salim Khalifa Kadhim of the Department of Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Technology participated in the World International Conference in Malaysia, (Numerical investigation on the effect of the thickness of the diffuser on the structural stresses in the mechanical heart valve bi-diffuser for the possibility of manufacturing)
Between the researcher can cause structural stress caused by blood flow through the aortic industrial valve for failure due to the effect of submission. In this study, structural analysis, particularly the thickness of the leaf, was performed on the equivalent stresses found in the BMHV due to the blood flow through which it was investigated.
The "Fluid Structure" interaction approach has been used on the basis of Langergy Ullerian arbitrary technique (ALE) with the help of an external program (UDF). The results show that the high stress of von Mises was placed in BMHV with a thickness of 0.5mm and 0.6mm leaf, where the increase was 75% and 13% higher than the equivalent permissible stress, respectively. Thus, these insomnia releases are unsustainable to be replaced by a diseased urethral valve.
