Civil Engineering holds a course on the conduct of destructive tests in the laboratory

03 December 2018

The Concrete Laboratory in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Technology held a course on

(How to conduct non-destructive tests and laboratory tests)

The course included the first axis of the tests of resistance and is divided into compression resistance test, tensile strength test, bending resistance test, shear resistance test.

The second axis consists of non-destructive tests, including vibration tests, concrete heart tests, surface mechanical tests, electrical or magnetic tests, radio and nuclear tests with X-rays and nuclear beams.

The final axis included semi-destructive tests, including penetration testing, concrete heart testing and extraction test.

Presented at the session were Prof. Ali Attia Jabr, Prof. Shahlam Sadeer and Eng. Sri Amory Abbas.
