The Technology hold a solidarity pause and football match between its students to ask FIFA to lift the ban on Iraq's playground

Under the slogan "Hand in Hand for lifting the ban on Iraqi stadiums" the University of Technology held a solidarity pause with Ministry of Youth and Sports pursuit to lift the ban on Iraq's playgrounds and with the implementation of the instructions of Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Dr. Abdul Razzaq al-Issa in this direction, and in the University playground in the presence of Vice President of Administrative Affair Prof. Dr. Sami Abu Ajil and a number of departments heads, professors and the University students.
The supporting standing began playing the national anthem, then read the Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq.
The supporting standing permeated the distribution of a scarf represents Iraqi Flag by Vice President of Administrative Affair Prof. Dr. Sami Abu Aji and of the Engineering Mechanic Department Head assist.Prof.Dr. Muaid Rzuqy and Associate Administrator of Electrical Engineering Department Lect.Dr Kanaan Ali Jalal on the professors and the university members as well as match officials and players of the two teams from mechanical engineering and electrical engineering students who wearing the scarf during the supporting standing that held in the middle of the stadium.
The President Assistant Prof. Dr. Sami Abu Noon demanded FIFA and the Asian Football Association to back the match spirit in our by playing their matches in Iraqi stadium after that suffered from the embargo for a long time as well as hosting the official international matches by our country, noting that the University of Technology will support the steps carried out by the Ministry of youth and Sports and the Olympic Committee and Iraqi Union pursuit this dream, that missed for some time and watch our Football team play its international matches.
The students expressed during the supporting standing by their presence and cheers that emphasized the support of all sincere efforts to seek a lifting of the ban on the Iraqi stadiums, their pleasure while performing their national duty supporting the right of their country and Iraq's youth.
