Student of the department of engineering construction impair master for development of hydraulic basins Soothing
The main objective of this study is to develop a third type of stilling basins. In order to access this idea underwent three groups of experiments with a total of 156 drivers, the first group was using conventional ballasts blocks and a total of 99 run and checked formations and different arrangements.
The tests were conducted in order to investigate the influence of these formations on the main characteristics of the hydraulic jump. The second group has conducted a total of 51 run using different formations and arrangements of surface roughness in order to investigate the influence of these formations on the properties of the hydraulic jump. While the third group of experiments have been made using ballasts blocks and roughness bottom containe of one and six varieties crowds.
The results showed that the best combinations of ballasts blocks and the roughness of the bottom, which gives less secondary depth jump is B1 and D3 respectively, and the results of this study gives a better behavior of the characteristics of the hydraulic jump when compared with the results of previous studies.
