1158 applicants competed about 292 seats for admission to graduate studies at the University of Technology

1158 applicants competed examination for admission to graduate study "diploma and MSc and PhD" at the University of Technology to compete for 292 seats of 14 scientific and engineered departments in the exam, which held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016
The director of Graduate Studies at the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Abdul Hassan Abed Karam Allah said that the 292 seats distributed over 199 for master, 61 for doctoral and 32 for diploma.
He added that allocated seats for departments are 23 seats in the mechanical engineering department distributed 15 for master and 8 doctoral , Electrical Engineering 18 seats 9 for the Master, three for PhD and 6 of the diploma, Construction and Building Engineering 57 seats, 25 for master, 12 for PhD and 20 for diploma, Electromechanical Engineering 10 seats for the Master, Control and System Engineering 21 seats for the master, Production and Metals Engineering 25 seats, 16 for master and 9 for Ph.D., Chemical Engineering 10 MSc and 3 Ph.D., Applied Science Department 33 seats, 27 for MSc and 6 Ph.D., Architecture Engineering 17 seats, 14 for the MSc and 3 Ph.D., Computer Science Department 33 seats, 20 for MSc, 7 for PhD. and 6 for Diploma , Computer Engineering 6 seats for MSc, Materials Engineering 16 seats 8 for MSc and 8 for PhD, Laser and Optical Electronics Engineering 12 seats,10 for MS and PhD, and Petroleum Technology Department 8 seats for MSc.
The Participants of competitive high study examination who were 1158, they distributed in all university departments, 229 at the Construction and Building Engineering, 142 at Electrical Engineering, 120 at the Computer Science Department, 110 at Applied Science Department, 81 at Mechanical Engineering Department, 79 at Electromechanical Engineering, 76 applicant at Architecture, 71 at Production and Metals Engineering, 55 at Control and Systems Engineering and Materials Engineering, 53 at Chemical Engineering, 30 at Computer Engineering, 29 at Laser and Optical Electronics Engineering and 28 at Petroleum Oil department.
