Electromechanical Engineering Department Student Granted A Master Degree For His Thesis of Design, Construction and Performance of Turbine Aeolian

The student (Haider Abdul Kadhim Farhan) at the department of Electromechanical Engineering has been granted M.Sc.degree for his thesis titled “Design, Construction and Performance Analysis of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine for Domestic Loads" which was presented on Sunday 12-6-2016 at Al-Kindy Hall.
The student awarded a grade of ( excellent ).
The research discussed renewable energy (wind energy),the field that made a significant change in the world .the research discussed the design, manufacture and analyze the performance of a vertical turbine Aeolian with integrated axis .The blade and structure were made at the University of Technology with six geometric structures for the blades, the turbines were tested, power generated, then a complete control circuit were designed and manufactured to secure stable load.
The jury headed by Assistant .Prof .Dr. Muhammad Idris from Mechanical Engineering Department ,Assistant Prof.Dr. Muhammad Khair Aldin from the college of Engineering at Al-Nahrin University ,Lecturer Dr.Abdul Jabar Euid and Assistant Prof.Dr.Abdullatif Ahmad both from the Electromechanical Engineering Department .The thesis was supervised by Asst. Prof. .Dr. Dhari Yousif Mahmud from the University of Technology.
