Production and Materials Engineering Department at the University of Technology granting master's degree for a student Mohammed Thamer Mahmoud for his thesis that tagged: "Experimental investigation of wear cutting operationsduring vacuum electric wire”.
It has been focused on some factors affecting the operation of discharge electric wire of alloy steel type "AISI 1032" by using copper wire, and copper-coated zinc diameter of 0.25 mm, and she studied time of electric pulse, stay pulse time, voltage gap, and the rate of nutrition as inputs to the process, while theproportion of baly wire studied the rate of metal removal and surface termination as outputs of the process.
The results showed that the increase in the electrical pulse time lead to increase the proportion of baly wearand increased the rate metal removal and reduce the surface termination, and the increase in stay pulse, voltage gap, the rate of nutritionled to a little increasing in the rate of baly wire and reduce the metal removal and improving surface termination. Then it has been predict using troubled network of outputs for 16 sample that gave good results and approvalwithpractical results. It has been obtained the preparation of distribution the inputs on all the outputs through analyze contrastEnova.
