A thesisdiscussed plant treatment technique to remove some heavy items from watered soil by sewage in Science specialist of Environmental Engineering Department from Building Engineering and Construction at the University of Technology, to the student Tiba Jasim which showed that there are many ways to remove various contaminants and heavy toxic items but be high expensive so it had been useda less expensive way and be environmentally friendly by using plants to remove these pollutants, which referred as " plant treatment" that is used plantto remove absorption, and accumulation of heavy elements in the parts of the plant.
She said potted experiment in "the length of 25 cm × 25 cm width × 25 cm high," had been filled with "8 kg" soil and the experiment caring out in the greenhouse at the University of Technology and under atmospheric conditions: temperature "26-44 Silesia" humidity "15 - 22% "at 8:00 and 14:00. It was used in this research plants:herbs, corn, barley, chard, and cat's eye and oleander, has been planted in potted to remove bullets "Pb" chrome "Cr" elements watered bysewage and in various transactions: Tap water .50 "% sewage +50 % tap water, " 75% sewage +25% water spigot, "100% sewage."
It has been measured total concentration of lead and chromium elements in the soil and in three depths "zero-5" and "5-10" and “10-15 cm”, The results showed that the concentrations of the two components is high in the upper layers of the pot, and the concentration decreases with increasing depth.
The study found that the oleander and cat's eye plants are very efficient one in remove lead and chromium from watered soil by sewage because the higher values of concentrate factor, Cumulative factor and moving factor is registered for them.
