A dissertation in the Technology discuss improving the metal removalrate and surface termination in the chemical operation of the Stainless Steel

A dissertation in the Metaland Production Engineering Department at the University of Technology discussed “the improving the metal removal rate and surface termination in the chemical operation of the Stainless Steel 304”, to the student Ali Ibrahim Kanaan.
The dissertation focused on the study of the chemical operation to control thevariables that impact on this process. In this work some strategies to improve the surface roughness and the rate of metal removal in operating one of stainless steelalloy, the stainless steelalloy 304 is used with four different solutions to operate them chemically.
The results showed little change in hardness values of the samples after the chemical operation and there is no change in these samples values. The operating time was thevariable that most effected on the surface roughness and the rate of metal removal.
The results showed that these alloys can be operated chemically in perfect wayin running time 3 minutes and a temperature of 45 º and concentration solution of 10% with the lowest value for the surface roughness of 1.94 micrometers.
