Department of Computer Science holds a scientific symposium entitled "Software technologies and their role in E-Commerce"

Sponsored by Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer, president of the University of Technology, the Department of Computer Science has established a scientific symposium entitled (software technologies and their role in e-commerce) at nine o'clock on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the conference room of systems and control engineering department at the University of Technology.
The seminar, which was held in the presence of the President of the University of Technology and of both of the scientific and administrative assistant and a number of department heads and faculty and students , included the playing of the Iraqi national song, followed by reading verses from Al Quran , then the President of the University of Technology Professor Dr. Amin Douai Thamer delivered his speech in which he said: "that many of the state institutions are in need of these new technologies and we have to make further efforts to keep up with developments in developed countries of the world in this area." Then Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab, head of computer science department , delivered her speech in which she welcomed the audience and said that "e-commerce and technology is rapidly intervene in the economies of the countries" At the end of her speech, she thanked the rest of university departments on the existing scientific interaction between them stressing the need to continue to activate this cooperation.
This scientific symposium was distributed into to two sessions, the first session chaired by Dr. Yosra Hussein Ali and MM. Hassan Falah Hassan , which included the first two lectures titled
"E-commerce Evolution or Revolution"
For Both Prof. Ghassan Hamid Majid - General Director of the Department of Research and Development and Dr. Suha Mohammed Hadi - Khwarizmi Engineering College.
The second lecture entitled "Building EC Applications and Infrastructure"
Delivered by Dr. Rahim Abdul-Sahib - Director of Information and Technology Center . The second session was chaired by Dr. Rana Fared Gany and M. Yasser Munther Ismail , for the session included the first two lectures titled "Internet Based GIS of EC Application" Delivered by Dr. Rehab Falih Hassan - Department of Computer Science. The second lecture was entitled "Study of EC Issues and solutions" Delivered by Dr. Luma Faak Jalil - Department of Computer Science. Then the president of University of Technology honors participants in the symposium and a number of members of the scientific and the Preparatory Committee.
