A Faculty Member at Department of Electrical Engineering Organizes a Seminar

A Faculty Member at Department of  Electrical Engineering Prof. Dr. Hanan A. R. Akkar  presented a seminar entitled: (Advanced Intelligent Systems with Applications)  at AL- Rafidien Hall at Department of Electrical Engineering in 15/12/2016.

New algorithms on Intelligent systems have been presented, where Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) can be considered as complex networks emulating the way human rational neurons process data. ANNs have been widely used generally in; prediction, clustering, classification and association. The training algorithms which are used to determine the network weights of ANN are almost the most important factor that influences the ANNs performance. With the submitting and development of meta-heuristic and the Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs), they are employed to train ANNs and evolve the structure of the network to achieve better performance. Many researches attempt have been made to enhance the performance of algorithms that training ANNs. Other approaches tried to use meta-heuristic population-based algorithms such as Differential Evolution Algorithm (DEA) to replace classical training algorithms.
